Root River Hackle is a family operated hackle farm located in the Driftless Area of Southeastern Minnesota, home to some of the best fishing in the Midwest. Root River Hackle was born a few years ago with the acquisition of Howard Hackle from Alberta, Canada.
We continually strive to increase the quality of our hackle. Our bird's have been bred from the finest quality genetic stock. A very knowledgeable geneticist assisted with the selection of hens and roosters. Our high quality stock is constantly improving. Southern Minnesota is home to an ever changing climate including scorching summers and frigid winters. This climate enhances the quality of our hackle by increasing feather and barb count. We look forward to continuing to provide high quality hackle for your recreational needs. |
